Room to Dance

175 Biltmore Ave, Asheville, NC

The Room to Dance project involved the complete renovation of an existing commercial space, transforming it into a vibrant and modern nightclub designed to energize Asheville’s nightlife scene. Our architectural team was tasked with reimagining and reconfiguring the space to meet the functional demands of a high-capacity entertainment venue while creating an atmosphere that encourages social interaction and celebration.

A key element of the renovation was the creation of a spacious 1,200 square foot dance floor, designed to accommodate large crowds and provide an open, inviting environment for patrons. The dance floor’s layout ensures clear sightlines and optimal circulation, allowing guests to move freely and comfortably. The flooring materials were carefully selected for durability and safety, with finishes that complement the nightclub’s contemporary aesthetic.

The project also included the design and construction of brand-new restroom facilities, essential for supporting the venue’s high occupancy and ensuring compliance with health and accessibility standards. These bathrooms were thoughtfully designed with durable, easy-to-maintain materials and fixtures to provide a clean, welcoming experience for all guests.

Additionally, the new bar area was a focal point of the renovation. The bar’s design emphasizes both functionality and style, with efficient service zones, ample counter space, and striking finishes that contribute to the venue’s energetic vibe. Lighting and acoustic treatments were integrated throughout the space to enhance ambiance and guest comfort.

This nightclub renovation demonstrates our firm’s expertise in hospitality architecture and commercial interior design, combining practical solutions with creative vision to deliver a successful venue. By transforming an existing business into a lively, modern nightclub, we helped create a destination that supports Asheville’s cultural and entertainment growth.
