Principal

As the founder and managing principal for Form & Function Architecture, Mr. Alexander has been responsible for design and construction administration of projects varying in size from $10k to over $3 mil., with a broad range of complexity and scope. Concurrently to his own firm Mr. Alexander spent 5 years working with the Raleigh-based architecture firm Pearce Brinkley Cease & Lee where he was the project architect and responsible for construction observation for designs in excess of $8mil. He has been a part of projects in both North & South Carolina as well as Florida,Tennessee, Colorado and Massachusetts.

Mr. Alexander is currently the Director of the Young Architect’s Forum (YAF) for the Asheville chapter of the AIA where he mentors and tutors emerging architectural interns and newly licensed architects. He has lived in Asheville with his family and smelly dog since 2005.

As a project manager with Form & Function Architecture since 2011, Emili is responsible for assisting Myles in the day-to-day project needs, attends all project meetings and is intimately involved in the creation and quality control of the construction documents.

Emili has lived in Asheville since mid 2010, moving here upon completion of graduate school, with her husband and two children. She has previously worked in Denver, CO and Black Mountain, NC

Architectural Designer

Taylor is an architectural designer and creative. Prior to arriving at F&F, she held several internships (Open Door Architecture, Studio JEFRE, PlanET) and was the former Design Coordinator for UT’s Smart Communities Initiative program. With over 20 years of experience in creative and engineering environments, she has a wide range of skills and achievements.

She is currently seeking licensure as an architect in the State of North Carolina and is attending Western Carolina University for a Master’s Degree in Innovation Leadership & Entrepreneurship. Some of her personal endeavors include being a “cool” mom, painting/writing/illustrating books, geeking out about anything space or science-related, renovating a 1940’s bungalow, gardening, making music, and spinning soul records.

Lexi is the most recent addition to Form & Function Architecture. She has 5 years of professional design experience and 10 years of experience using CAD programs. Her goals are to take the NCIDQ to become a licensed Interior Designer and to get her Master’s Degree in Architecture in the future.

As a student, Lexi was extremely involved in her program by leading computer bootcamps and assisting instructors in teaching/tutoring freshmen and sophomores. She studied abroad in Rome, Italy for two months in the summer of 2018. Lexi and her husband live in Johnson City, TN. She loves reading, hiking, shopping, wood-working, and chilling on the lake with her family and friends.
