Curate At Home Kitchen

Asheville, NC

This specialized culinary production and packaging space, developed for Cúrate, one of Asheville’s most renowned hospitality brands, was created in direct response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. Designed by our team to support safe, high-quality food production and distribution, the space enables the restaurant group to extend its award-winning culinary experience beyond the traditional dine-in model—bringing chef-prepared meals into the homes of customers across the region.

At a time when public health restrictions limited in-person dining, this facility became a crucial solution for both business continuity and community nourishment. The architectural scope involved converting an existing commercial space into a state-of-the-art food preparation and packaging facility, optimized for efficiency, food safety, and workflow.

Our team focused on the seamless integration of commercial-grade kitchen systems, food-safe finishes, and climate-controlled zones to support the packaging of fresh, high-quality meals. The layout supports a streamlined production process—from cooking and cooling to packaging and pickup—ensuring minimal handling and maximum freshness.

The space is intentionally designed to maintain the high culinary standards that Cúrate is known for, while also enabling scalability to meet growing demand for restaurant-quality meals at home. Every element—from lighting and ventilation to durable flooring and hygienic surface materials—was selected to meet rigorous health code standards while providing a comfortable and functional environment for staff.

This project is a strong example of adaptive, pandemic-responsive architecture that supports innovation in the hospitality industry. It reflects our firm’s ability to create custom food service environments that respond to evolving market demands and operational challenges.
