Soomo Learning

1200 Ridgefield Blvd, Asheville, NC

Our architecture firm was engaged to design and execute a comprehensive office upfit for Soomo Learning, an innovative educational technology company. The project involved the renovation and reconfiguration of an existing commercial space to create a dynamic, efficient, and collaborative work environment tailored to Soomo Learning’s unique operational needs.

The primary goal of this commercial interior renovation was to transform a standard office shell into a modern, flexible workspace that supports creativity, teamwork, and productivity. Understanding the client’s focus on digital learning and innovation, our design team crafted an interior that fosters collaboration through open-plan work areas, quiet zones, and adaptable meeting spaces.

Key features of the upfit include strategically placed private offices, collaborative breakout areas, and technology-enabled conference rooms designed to support virtual and in-person meetings. The layout maximizes natural light penetration and visual connectivity throughout the space, creating an inviting atmosphere for employees and visitors alike.

Sustainability and wellness were integral to the design approach. We selected environmentally responsible materials, energy-efficient lighting, and ergonomic furnishings to enhance occupant comfort and reduce the office’s carbon footprint. Acoustic solutions were integrated to balance open work areas with focused, quiet spaces.

The project also incorporated upgraded mechanical, electrical, and IT systems to support the company’s high-tech requirements. Enhanced connectivity and infrastructure improvements ensure seamless digital operations essential for Soomo Learning’s mission-driven work.

This office upfit exemplifies our firm’s expertise in adaptive reuse and commercial interior design, delivering tailored workplace solutions that align with each client’s culture and business goals. By revitalizing an existing space, we provided Soomo Learning with a functional and inspiring office that supports growth and innovation well into the future.
